God bless the 80s. The decade, when tawdriness was king, has left us with many camp-gems and one of the shiniest ones is Voyage of the Rock Aliens. Imagine a movie conceived as a feature length 80s MTV music video, with all the infectious synthpop tunes, the cheesy lyrics, the gratuitous video-editing effects, the perms and the bonkers costumes with literally eye-popping colour combinations. Add a group of aliens scouting the galaxy in search of the perfect music, a small town engulfed in a rockabilly craze, a chainsaw-wielding maniac plus an all-star cast including Pia Zadora, Craig Sheffer, Ruth Gordon or Michael Berryman. You are in for a hell of a crazy good time.
