One of the most spectacularly rancid exploitation films ever made, David E. Durston’s maniacal I Drink You Blood embodies most of the shockproof themes, scrutinised by the festival in recent years. When a bunch of Satanist hippies invade a sleepy little town and start abusing the residents, they don’t know what they’re in for. In revenge, local kid Pete infects their meat pies with rabies, and before you can say, “Isn’t the incubation period actually three to eight weeks?”, they're frothing at the mouth and attacking anyone in sight.
