Nine killed her, nine shall die! Yes, folks, its time for William Fuest’s hilariously ghastly The Abominable Dr. Phibes. In this 1971 shocker the undisputed master of the macabre Vincent Price stars as the disfigured and demented doctor Anton Phibes seeking revenge on the eight doctors and one nurse he considers responsible for the death of his wife (British scream queen Caroline Munro in an early uncredited role as her corpse!). Phibes is not only a murderous, crazed monster, but he's also a brilliant, flamboyant super villain, with the wealth and know-how to devise morbid deaths, employing the most outrageous steampunk props in the process – making him the most inventive serial killer in movie history. Bats and rats and locusts - oh my!
