The story of a psychotic killer! Your shocked eyes will see it while your stunned mind won’t believe it! It’s no secret we love William Castle’s films, which often spill off the screen directly into the auditorium. Homicidal, Castle’s take on Alfred Hitchcock‘s Psycho, marks the third engagement of our festival with the master of gimmicks and while lots of B-movie producers tried to rip-off Hitchcock’s shocker, only Castle had the chutzpah to interrupt his picture right before its climax for a “Fright Break,” offering audience members a safe retreat to “The Coward’s Corner”. One of Castle’s top productions , Homicidal is an enjoyably bizarre film, making some of the freaky elements of Psycho even freakier. Will you dare to join us for this year’s interactive screening?
