There are bad movies, and then there is Verotika. The Shockproof Film Festival has the honor of bringing to you the Czech premiere of one of the most glorious artistic failures since Tommy Wiseau’s The Room or James Nguyen’s Birdemic: Shock and Terror. On top of that, the premiere will take place in a form of a special interactive screening with gimmicks that stimulate all your senses. We will give you the heebie-jeebies – but more likely, you will experience more fun than a barrel of monkeys. The guilty party behind this particular cinematic atrocity is none other than the self-proclaimed king of “horror punk”. The Misfits frontman, an expert in film history and classical music, entrepreneur, occultist, martial arts master, obscene comics author and now also an obscene producer, director, composer, DP and actor: Glenn Danzig. Adapted from his own horror comic series, Verotika tells three stories of “violent erotica” (hence the title) and is a work of complete ineptitude on every level. Oh, how you will wish your own eyes had been poked out before this film ends. Sacrebleu!
