It is not really our habit to discourage viewers from attending a screening at The Shockproof Film Festival, and we will not do it this time either. However, a certain warning is in order. Although this is the ultimate film on the subject of motherhood, pregnant women are asked to consider whether they want to subject their baby to more than a small amount of prenatal stress. A genuinely scary, brutally violent and emotionally draining example of the new wave of French horror, Inside, directed by then-first-time directors Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury tells the story of Sarah, a pregnant photographer terrorized in her home by a mysterious woman in black. It may sound as just another simple exploitation but mark our words, not a single shockproof fan will be disappointed with this work of art… which is painted in blood.
