As in a feverish dream, a woodcutter is finishing a sculpture of a young woman. When suddenly something breaks the window open and he is visited by an uninvited guest. It is not only inspiration which lies dormant in a piece of wood.
This impressive adaptation of E. A. Poe’s classic horror poem, stop motion animation and live action combine to create a terrifying experience made of flesh, blood, wood and feathers.
