Care to have the Avon bard drenched in a stream of moist whale feces? If so, the latest production from the eminent Troma studio is right up your alley. Some twenty odd years after the inspired Shakespearean variation Tromeo & Juliet, Lloyd Kaufman and the Troma team revisit the universe of the bard for a TROMAtic adaptation of his late drama The Tempest. The result turns out to be a pure Shakespeare's Sh*tstorm (though that which we call a sh*tstorm, by any other name would smell as foul). Called Kaufman’s manifesto for the age of outrage by the critics, the film seeks to skewer the puritanical left and the even-more puritanical right alike, while promising to give audiences all the sex, mutations, musical numbers, violence and gross-out gags that Shakespeare always wanted but never had! To barf or not to barf, that will be the question.
