There Will Be Blood at FAMU
The Czech film school FAMU is mainly perceived as a breeding ground for social realism or psychological dramas. But deep in its catacombs dwell the blasphemous students of animation, who give life to their morbid fantasies, which contain hilariously fatal accidents, perversely decadent characters and gushes of blood. Our loose line-up of short films, titled There Will Be Blood at FAMU, features three macabre animated films from recent years and one archive piece which by now has become a cult of its own.

If Jan Švankmajer or the brothers Quay would make a commercial for a butcher’s shop, it would possibly look a lot like this unsettling short film about the dark side of meat processing.
